Apocalypse knocking on our door

I suppose we've all heard about the apocalypse of 2012 theories. I've never believed in these things, why should I? Earth has existed in millions of years, so why should it end so suddenly?

But with all the natural disasters happenings lately, both wildfires, cyclones, and earthquakes. And now last the horrible quake and tsunami in Japan. The fact that it also made an atomic crisis occur, makes an apocalypse seem a lot closer than before.

Also from a political perspective the world is going wild. The riots are spreading through the Middle East and North Africa. And several European countries are even planning and/or committing war actions against the dictator of Libya. A cry for change and democracy is spreading, which of course is a good thing. But it's never really a good thing when so many innocent people get caught in the middle of it happening.

Even in fashion we can see traces of at least old rebels. Since the boho-look and the 70's are back in style. A rather interesting coincidence, that we, according to trends and fashion, now should wear similar outfits as those who believed in peace, freedom, love, social equality and revolution.

History always repeat itself, that's a very true quote. Earth is over-populated, we wouldn't have had global warming and climate change if there weren't so many people here. And as history has shown earth has been able to change thing just fine itself. Eras have come and eras have gone, both of animals and humans.

Another important thing to remember is technology, today news spread much faster than before, we get to see both photos and videos from the other parts of the world. Without news in tv, radio and internet we would all have been living in a much more peaceful world. Disasters would have happened, but we wouldn't have heard about it.

I don't think the world will go under in 2012. But I think coincidences are interesting. And I do believe that nothing is new beneath the sun.
